OK i have seen all the posts on here regarding this but i still am having no luck with it, Ok im new to linux but managed to get quake 4 and ut on my system.
Quake 4 i've always had the problem but UT2004 use to work fine till i patched it to the latest patch now both games wont run.
I Hve a Ubuntu 64bit system on X24400 please help me

Please post the output when you run the program in terminal.

shows a simpler way to do what you need to do than what I originally did.

I googled on libasound2 and libsdl to get the downloads (http://packages.debian.org/stable/libs/libsdl1.2debian-alsa) ... there's a link to the libasound pkg on that page also
