Hi,
I have two different unrelated problems with Hardy.
1. I can no longer select items by pressing the Ctrl key. It works neither on file selection nor on things like email selection.
To be more clear about this, when I try to select items while no key is pressed it works fine. Furthermore I can select several items by pressing the Shift key. When I press Ctrl and click on an item, nothing happens.
I use an Microsoft Internet Keyboard with UK Layout. Two things are customized, the Euro sign is on AltGr 4, the left Win-key is compose. Both are working fine.
I cannot tell when the problem occurred for the first time, but it used to work initially.
2. Often times, when I start the computer, I have no desktop background and no items on the desktop. I have to re-login to get them back. On occasion, only the desktop items are missing but the wallpaper shows up.
Anybody any thoughts on these issues?
