Does anyone know if which file Grip stores its settings?

I highly recommend crip over grip.
commandline ripper
seems less buggy then grip.

why would crip be any more or less buggy than grip--they're just frontends to various other commandline programs...

Hmm, that folder does not exist (at least not on my computer).
Does anyone know why?

Yeah, I know, this is WAAAAAY late, but just in case somebody else comes along and looks at this forum, "~/" refers to your home directory. I.e.:
~/Audio/ = /home/tjfitz/Audio/
on my machine/user account.
