It may seem funny i am asking this question!
As CLAM V detects windows viruses,
WHether we can use it to clean viruses in Windows Machine.

Real Scenario is to want to plug Infected Windows drive and do a scan on Windows Files n clean.

Is it possible.?

Possible and practical, running clam av, avg, avast, and various other commercial av linux editions from a persistent liveUSB allows you to keep updated av, and remove virus's without booting the windows partition that your working on(particularly advantageous).

Anyway, short answer is yes, and there are many tools you can put together for this purpose. Or you can download any of several projects that work towards this purpose.

Could you plz name any such project?
And whether they have any such kind of Packaged Linux Installation.

I just went out googling, for my own purposes I made a liveUSB of ubuntu, if your looking for something outta the box though heres a few to consider:

http://www.sysresccd.org/Detailed-packages-list
http://rescuecd.pld-linux.org/
http://www.phenix.bnl.gov/~purschke/RescueCD/
http://www.911cd.net/911cd/

And about a bazillion others, those are listed in no particular order.

GL have fun.

To clean a Windoze system, you really need a Windoze system.

So, use something that is based on BartPE:

with ClamAV, Spybot S&D and HijackThis installed on the CD.
