Hello,

Is there a video converter in Ubuntu?? cuz i want to convert avi to the PSP format, actually i am looking for a converter which can convert into all possible formats. I am looking for a converter like TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER. Total Video Converter is a windows based program and it's wonderful, earlier i tried to run it through Wine but it didn't really work..

I would give mencoder a try. It's command line based, so it has a bit of a learning curve, but it is the most comprehensive encoder that I know of and has pretty good documentation. You might also give the associated mplayer a try. I have yet to come up with a video format that it cannot play provided I have the binary codecs installed (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html#binary_codecs). Even without the binary codecs, it's pretty unbeatable. I'm surprised at how little I need them on my amd64 system.

I've never done it myself, but here's apparently how you would create a psp video.

Obviously, you should try and pick apart that command line and play around with things yourself.
