[SOLVED] Is the Acer 5220 laptop & Kubuntu compatible?

Hi,

Has anyone installed Kubuntu Linux on a Acer 5220 laptop?

It has 2 equally sized hard drives with 35gb each. I'd like to keep Vista as a dual boot, so I reckon it should be easy enough to install Kubuntu onto the second hdd(shows up as D drive in Vista).

These are the specs:
Microsoft Vista Home Basic
1.86 gigahertz Intel Celeron
1GB of RAM
80GB HDD

What were the problems when you installed Kubuntu?(if any)

I would suggest you try the LiveCD to see if everything works out of the box or you need to mess around a little to get things done.

I got the Acer 5220. Kubuntu is installed, everything works bar the wireless. Working on that though...
