I have an Inspiron 1501 running Hardy. Suspend and resume both work great, except whenever the machine resumes from suspend, I have to log in again and a new gnome session is started. My previous session is lost. This is very irritating and defeats the purpose of suspend.
I originally installed Gutsy a year ago (or so) and did the distribution upgrade to Hardy. Suspend/resume worked fine (without this problem) in Gutsy.
For what it's worth, LOCK_SCREEN is already commented out in /etc/default/acpi-support and it makes me login again anew anyway.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!
