ubuntu 7.10 main, with sun xVM and win XP

hey all. recently had a major issue with ubuntu. working off a fresh install of 7.10, all updates. installed the newest version of virtualbox, from the sun website, the corporate edition, not OSE, because i seriously need USB functioning.

have an issue though, not sure why, cant find the answer, still looking though. anyways, the issue is when selecting settings before booting the os, the message below shows up.

the odd thing is, when actually booted up, the usb controller notification baloon popped up and everything.

any help would be awesome, need to get my scanner back up and running asap. not supported under ubuntu sadly :(

hey all.

problem solved, not sure how to change or delete this posting.

so, solved the usb error. met with another error, then solved that one and now everything is working beautiful. seamless.

well their was one error again, but only popped up once and went away, soooo whatever, it works, dont really care about the error.

anyways, please delete this thread whoever can! thanks! ^_^
