Hello,
I've installed hoary on my girlfriend's box using the super neat live CD. This computer has no access to the internet - not even dial up. The problem is I can't get X working. The xorg ati & radeon drivers do not work out of the box so I need to do some tweaking. I think I read somewhere that I need to install fglrx or something.
Now I'm a gent** user myself but I think I can get the hang of this debian stuff though I obviously need to do things completely OFF-LINE. I was thinking of d/l packages to my mp3 player and setting up apt-get, or whatever program is used to read packages, accordingly.
So... WHERE are the actual packages located? Can someone give me a URL to where the deb files are at some hoary repository? And can you please advice me as to what I need to learn about the deb system to do OFF-LINE installs? Perhaps I could install apt/whatever on my ONLINE gent** system...
