The company I had email service with (www.pastimes.cc) disapeared without notice. and I am now completely without email service. Does anyone have a gmail invite they would be willing to share? If you do, please pm it to me. (email won't work because I have none!) Thank You!

There's now one in your private message inbox.

I think it's an experiment to see how long it will take until every person on Earth has a Gmail account.

They did make it public already. You can sign up if you have a cell phone number.

(I had 100 of the damn things... I don't know why they just don't make it public already). It's essentially public now, in the USA at least. Anyone with a mobile telephone which can receive text messages in the United States can now invite themselves:

How about a free pop mail service

BTW, Gmail also supports POP. (Amazingly enough -- considering that if you come in via POP, you get no ads. Nothing added to your outgoing messages, either, like some services I could mention.)
