I'm absolutely new beginner! I'm using a Dell XPS M1330 Core2 Duo. Which version of Ubuntu should I use, 32 or 64 bit? Thanks.

32bit will be fine no need for 64

I personally would go for the 32 bit because many people seem to have problems with the 64 bit versiions (not just Ubuntu).

I'd go for 32bit on the theory that you may encounter less problems.

As a new beginner, I would use the 32 bit version. Depending on your hardware and necessary drivers, it will likely be easier to set up the 32 bit.

Not necessarily correct. I have used 64-bit and found it easy to set up. I have all the drivers and programs I need. You can always change to 32-bit. You should read the stickies in the 64-bit forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=343).
