View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wifi Not Working

I cant connect online using wifi

my my /etc/network/interfaces shows the following ....

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

that is all ... wifi is on, but the 2 little pc's show a red X and also says no network connection.

also the output of sudo lshw -C network (dont know what this means ... )
is the following ... but i just noticed it says disable on the wireless card ... maybe that is the problem ... ummm interesting ...

Ok, i tried what was suggested on that post but id didn't work for me. Or maybe i am doing something wrong ...
i tried to install the drivers manually and it just doesn't let me ... it says "" failed: name or service not known "" here are the outputs of the commands iwconfig:
