View Full Version : [ubuntu] configure amarok to use mySQL

when i adjust my amarok to run mySQL i get this message


MySQL reported the following error:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
You can configure MySQL in the Collection section under Settings->Configure Amarok


my hostname is listed as local host port 3306 with an amarok database. anyone know how to fix this?

How is your mysql server configured? what port is it listening on, etc. You can install the mysql GUI tools through Add/Remove if you don't know the way to get at this info through the terminal

im installing now how do i access that info
