Hi All

I am not sure why, but while looking around the system, I found that 2 users are active on my system -- both of them are me. I rebooted the system and logged in, and it is still the same. I don't know if this is covered in the docs, so could someone take a look?

xoanan@ubuntu:~$ uptime

Each teminal you have open counts as a new user being logged in. (yes, same yuser can log in to Linux multiple times, and from multiple locations.)

So, if you see 2 users, one is you logged in to the desktop, and the other is you logged in to that terminal.
