google earth error code 29

so i followed these instructions (http://tombuntu.com/index.php/2007/11/28/how-to-install-google-earth-in-ubuntu/) for installing it, but it says it recieved error code 29, that it could not access its bin file. can anyone help, or do i have to give more info?
