Help with E9 Edge USB modem

Hi !! I am a newbie with linux. Somehow I have this mobile USB modem with a phone chipset on it. It works like a charm at 128Kbs with windows but I CANT configure it in Ubuntu.
The modem its recognized in ubuntu but I just can not configure how to connect.
