Hardy Samsung q45 wireless problem

I just upgraded a samsung q45 laptop from gutsy to hardy and the wireless connection stopped working. It is in roaming mode but no networks are detected. (As well as my own it should be detecting the 4 or 5 others it used to!). I tried manual configuration and putting in the details, but it didn't work. I can't find anything on the forums about this...ideas?

Downgrading the kernel to 2.6.22-15 fixed the problem
