Is there an easy way of playing simcity 4 on linux?
I know about using Cedega to play it, but there must be a way of playing it natively.
I'm not a credit card owner, so using cedega to play it is not an option.
Also, I have a full version of SimCity 3000 Unlimited for Win32 on CD. Is there a way of combining the loki demo client and the full game files to create a fully playable version?

LinCity-NG, hum? I have already hearded about it, but it is similar to SimCity 2k, 3k or SC 4? Do you have already played it?

There is more about it here: http://lincity.sourceforge.net/
Also, it isn't Sim City but there is openttd (Open source transport tycoon). That is very good and does not require the original.
www.openttd.com
Also if you want to install either of those with ease check out http://www.autopackage.org/packages/

LinCity NG is not even close to Sim City 4. It really isn't even close to the original Sim City. Nice try, but it just doesn't cut it.

cedegea, cvscedega, directXwine, or even wine itself is going to be the only way. Installing CVSCedega is probably your best bet.

Thanks guys, I forgot to mention, cedega won't like my system anyway as it's 64 bit.
In fact that prevents a lot of gaming...but I have seen lincity-ng and I can't figure out it's dependencies, and also Openttd, which i could probably compile from source.
I have another partition on this disk and will probably install a 32 bit linux, then chroot into it when I want to do some gaming.
more to think about....
