No much more than a month ago, ubuntuforums.org changed the layout of the forum.

This is all well and good, however i personally didn't like some of the changes. The main change I didn't like was that because of the changes on the main index page, posts take a lot longer to be answered.

Somehow, the layout has slowed down the amount of responses for posts. This is just my opinion from my perspective.

Curious to know how others feel. Did you like the changes? Whether yes or no, please comment on what you like and dont like.

I don't think posts take longer to be answered.

I think the new layout is well done. The front page is a little cluttered, but non needed elements can be collapsed.

well, an hour ago i did two posts.

this one being the first to get a reply, by one person, in an hour.
the other (which is more of a troubleshooting question), has not been answered at all. I find whenever i post something now (since the change), i dont get any replies.

maybe it just happens to be because my posts have no interest to anyone, but i find it strange how most of my new posts since the forum layout change have gone completely unnoticed and unanswered.

again, just my perspective on the situation.
feel free to disagree.

Well, during this time, the forums are not at their peak loads and it can be slower.

The forums do have waves of activity.

Your thread in the Multimedia forum was on a highly specific topic, and asking for opinions. The only people who can answer that are those that have done it before. Give it time :-) Also, bumping is best done every 24-48 hours.

This thread was on a somewhat old topic. Many users of this forum don't know it is new, almost everyone else is now used to it, and everyone who did feel strongly about it has moved on.

The title of this thread could be "Do you like the forum layout", as the title implies something new has changed.

While it is good, it is busy, as LaRoza pointed out. That part really bugs me

That it is funny or not funny?

(was joking, I don't know what happened. Hopefully an admin will get on it)

That it's not funny, because I've just got up and am not a morning person.

I really like the forum layout. It is exceptional providing windows of forum text bfore you even click into it. it's fast and i had two questions anssweredd in less than a minute the first time i posted, only one problem though and it's not withthe layout but i dont know where to post it. NO ps3 Subforum. Please i need this to get toether with fellow ps3 ubuntu's to figure out wine acces on ppc systems, unlock cell proccessor video, and use my wi-fi. so please PS3 subforum! btw i saw your competion- yellow dog and they happen to have quite an extensive ps3 linux cummunity. only problem is, i dont like yellow dog I like ubuntu and id like to unlock the potential of this expensive machine by talking to other devs who interested in the same thing. Thanks for reading. I do hope a mod sees this and seriously considers because i dont want to dig through other forum topics to find my fellow ps3'ers. thanks again
