Hi,,,
after plugging a USB drive it is mounted like that automatically "/media/disk".
How can i convert it to EXT3? (it is now vfat format)

Gparted can do it for you. Although there may be a simpler method.

hi,
thanks it seems very useful software.
but there is key icon for my USB memory (dev/sdb1) and i cant do any work with it (everything is inactive), 75155
any clues?

Have you mounted the device? Right click and select unmount and you should be able to reformat it.
