When you do an "unanswered posts" search it also shows "SOLVED" posts with 0 replays.
Example : [SOLVED] unison problem (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=838702) (if no body added a replay by now)
If it is "SOLVED" should it be in the "unanswered posts" search results ?

Sometimes people solve their own problems, and mark their thread accordingly. They will show up as unanswered if nobody ever replied. Nothing that can really be done about that.

Sometimes it would be nice to hear how they solved their problems in these situations,
I sometimes while away the time browsing the forums for its own sake - it's a good way of picking up little tidbits that might be of use some time.

I agree, and many people do provide these details. If they do so by posting a new message, the thread will no longer be unanswered, but if they provide details by editing their post, it will still show up in unanswered post queries.
If a post is marked "solved" with no indication why, you can always ask.
