Hi all,
On my Ubuntu machine I have a DVDROM drive as secondary master and a CD-RW as secondary slave. If I put a cd into either one of them they work fine, but if I try to read a burned dvd-r or dvd-rw in the DVDROM drive it doesn't do anything. Also if I put a movie dvd in the DVDROM drive it brings up the program thats installed to watch it, but says I need additional codecs to use it. I have not tryed to load a burned cd-r yet, so I don't know about that. I know the madwifi tarball file I tried to burn to a cd-r on my windows box in Nero would'nt work. I don't know why because it worked with a dvd-r. But like I say I can't read a dvd-r in Ubuntu yet. lsmod shows cdrom and udf modules installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
