A student of mine recently purchased one of the newest Macbooks running Leopard. He is experiencing the directory fragmentation issue. Neither Disk Warrior nor Drive Genius will work on it...Apple have not yet released the codes and the manufacturers cannot produce a compatible version.
I managed to rebuild his directory using my own Macbook, Disk Warrior and a firewire.
Surely there must be another approach?
Would starting from the Installation Disk and running fcsk help?
Would Ubuntu or maybe Knoppix help?
