Hi,

I know this must have been asked a million times but since it is my first step into wireless world (at home) I don't want to make a mistake. I have a desktop and I laptop for which I 'd like to set a wireless i-net connection (and if possible a network between them, but that's secondary). I am about to order a wireless router but dunno which and by a friend's advice D-Link is reliable. I need it to be around $ 100 (if less it would be great) and work 100 % with Linux. I would also consider other brands such as Buffalo or Linksys or Netgear .. whatever works smooth with Linux (easily detected and set-up)

Maybe this link will be used to choose from

Usually I am running Debian based distros with occasional jump to open SuSe

I have a Linksys WRT54GL that has been flashed with the DD-WRT firmware. Turns it into a router that will pretty much do anything. I think you can get one for $60.

A second for the Linksys WRT54G. In my experience, V7 & V8 work flawlessly.
