Alternatives to Eye of Gnome?

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a better lightweight image viewer than Eye of Gnome. My main problems with it are that it seems unreasonably slow to open images, and the window doesn't change size when I zoom in or out with a picture, which means if I want to open an image and zoom in a bunch, I also have to manually make the window bigger.

So basically, does anyone know of a better lightweight image viewer, something a lot like Eye of Gnome but with less suck?
