I have a quick question. The Thinkpad R and T series (14.1 and 15.4") laptops come with nVidia Quadro NVS 140M (128MB) (http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro_nvs_notebook_techspecs.html) cards as their GPUs.

nVidia, on their website says that those cards have a HDMI and a DVI port as well, but Lenovo doesn't mention any HDMI or DVI ports on those machines. Also the reviews say that the machines don't have them.

1) Can someone confirm for me if the Lenovo R and T have the HDMI ports on them or not?

2) Is it worth the money to invest in the Intel Turbo Memory? Its for $40 on a Lenovo T series, but I was wondering if it will also be used in Linux? Its just a flash memory, so I think it should have no problems. but its worth knowing before hand.

I don't know about the ports, but I am pretty sure that the turbo memory thing is only for Vista :?

I got T61 here with Nvidia Quadro NVM 140M, and it's only got VGA port.

Ok. Thanks for the info guys.

Looks like its a toss up between the T61 and the R61

The fact that T's are lighter is good...but the R's are about $100 cheaper for almost the same config. The R's dont have WWAN option..but I don't think I am going to use it very soon.
