Does it allow use of the expansions in Linux? or should I just go for the plain vanillia version?

NWN works fine with both add-ons under Linux -- I had it running a week or so ago :).

Yeah, get the platinum edition (either on DVD or the 4 disc version). There is a nice installer for that.

heh, I decided against the plat edition for 2 reasons.

One its 40 bucks, and i aint got that kinda scratch right now
Two, Buying the gold edition, and the black expansion pack (forgot its name) is actually 8$ cheaper then buying the plat edition
