View Full Version : [ubuntu] Digital camera "fspot" help, better import programs?

Hi there, hopefully I am posting in the right area for this inquiry.

I just switched over to Ubuntu completely yesterday. Curious how to get my Olympus digital camera working. "fspot" recognizes it (I can select as my "import source" in the drop down menu), but there is always a bit of a freeze and a subsequent "error connecting to the port."

Any suggestions?

Also, my camera includes video... does "fspot" recognize video? (I am totally new to all of this!)

thank you so much for you time.

*Bump*

I am also looking for an alternative to F-Spot, particularly one that will allow me to rename imported files to something more descriptive than "img_0127.jpg".
