Hi "Multimedia & Video people", this is my first time posting here. I need help regarding as said by subject. I am using Kaffeine for this as i read from one thread that it would be easy to configure (the other option was VDR which was harder to configure). I am a noob at this so please start on basics.

I tried on Kaffeine, File->Network Broadcasting->Receive Broadcast Stream. That didnt work. I know the IP Address and the port where to receive streaming from. I tried Network Streaming in Windows via DVR and it works great with the help of the Remote_J2K program.

Maybe you can tell me what i need to get from repositories, what firmwares to get.

Also, whenever i start Kaffeine an error pops out: Can't bind info socket. I do ot know if it is relevant to my problem.

now there is two of us. I do not have time to research on this yet, as I am busy with school projects. But if someone could point me the way to this solution (give me an idea), I would appreciate it very much.

What tv card do you have?

I can not get your point why I need to give information on my card. It is a live Stream from lan. I can view the CCTV output via a specific IP address.

Anyways, what card are you talking about? be specific please.

my misstake this error message in Kaffeine,
"Can't bind info socket"
appears when Kaffeine doesn't recognize the Tv card.

I guess what would be of use is the information what kind of stream it is, there are a couple of formats out there like nullsoft video stream or windows media stream.
