Foobillard... Only Plays 8 Ball...

Hi, Everyone...

I am very impressed w/ Foobillard but discovered that the full version has options for several games (billiards, 9 ball, 8 ball), while the version I installed through synaptic only plays 8 ball and is limited in other ways (no new game menu, etc.).

I wonder, is there a way to play this game beyond 8 ball?

Did you check the options menu? The different game modes should be located in the options> game> gametype menu. And clicking on the "Restart Game" option should open up a new menu for single match, tournament, training and network game options.

If FooBillard isn't working for you for some reason, you could always give Billard-GL a try from the synaptic.

This is part of the problem--the game presents me w/ no menu, and, therefore, no menu options. I have tried removing and reinstalling through synaptic w/ no luck.

I appreciate your help--any other ideas? :)

Anyway, I will investigate Billard-GL

Have you tried hitting Esc key inside the game? It should bring you the menu and you can select the game type under Options.
