My Scanner isn't Scanning correctly.

I have a cannon scanner, and when I previously had a windows operating system it scanned color photos and I was able to save them on my computer just as they looked in my hand. I recently switched to Ubuntu ( and love it ) but when ever I try to scan a photo it comes out a fusha/pinky color. It doesn't quite cut it when I'm scanning a family photograph. If anyone could tell me how to correct this, that would be awesome. Thanks :)

Its a Canoscan N640P
And It works good but the color is all off and repeatedly gives me pictures with a pinky purple tint. How do I correct this?
