Just asks the password and flashes once and then disappears. The frontend does remain and I can configure it a little bit but I think I have to configure mcc first?
edit: I have an ordinary 64-bits Ubuntu installation.

I realise this is an old thread, but maybe worth a shot??

Well had you really wanted to troubleshoot the issue we could have tried a few things. There may be a problem with the new version of MCC (Vesion .28) but alas, we will never know what version you had installed.
jb5: It's not that problem, that was bug that had to do with repos and such. It was fixed long ago and wouldn't have made it into Hardy. Further, upgrading MCC would fix it.

OK I'll do anything to mythbuntu ;)
I want to build a HTPC and I've checked out Mythbuntu before but didn't get it working then (mythbuntu 7.10)
The fresh try:
I did it like this:
Installed it again from this site: http://www.mythbuntu.org/existing-ubuntu and clicked the picture after "Installing" ...
... and now, without reboot, I after password i can see and make changes to the MMC. :guitar:
What was wrong before I don't know. I even reboot after the first install when it didn't work right away. After few updates which Ubuntu had on this 3 days period (I always install the standard updates) now it just worked!
Thanks tgm4883 to putting me back on the Mythbuntu again. :)
