I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR110E laptop that has an Atheros LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g PCI-E internal wireless card.

I am having a problem with getting this to work on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. I did an lsmod and I can see the ath_pci module loaded but it doesn't show up. I also see it in the restricted drivers and it shows it as enabled. Any ideas on how to make this work?

I am currently dual booting with windows vista but I want to switch entirely to Ubuntu. Without this card working, it's not possible for me to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jaysen

Ubuntu reports it as:

Atheros Communications AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
