In Nautilus, if I right-click a file, select "Properties", click the "Open With" tab, click the "Add" button, click the "Use a custom command" arrow, and then click the "Browse" button, the "Select an Application" dialog comes up and immediately hangs for over 60 seconds. The default dir seems to be "/usr/bin" and I'm guessing the problem occurs because there is a very large amount of data being parsed from this directory. The delay is very frustrating. Any suggestions?
