Hi,
I installed to try it out, google earth 4.3 (beta, i think)using a bin from the website.
However it does not work well. It's buggy, it's slow and almost unusable.
I tried de-installing compiz, but no improvement. Maybe I need to install my propietary ati drives, I dunno.
So I want to remove google-earth.
How do I de-install something for which I used a bin file?
Also, I thought there was version in the repos, but add/remove showed nothing.

is there a reason why you did not use the Medibuntu repos?
I'd try to add medibuntu repos, install ge 4.3 from there and the remove it with purge again... that should also remove the one you installed manually

I have 4 computers running ubuntu. it appears I've started to lose track of which ones have all the necessary repos and which ones don't. I could have sworn that I already had the medibuntu repos added on the one where i Installed, but I didn't.

Hows crazy football people up there?

Nope, didn't work. Still there.
Doesn't matter, my system has been quite buggy sinds I installed hardy. I think I will just re-install everything at some point.

tnx 4 the help, anyway.
