View Full Version : [ubuntu] iPod 5G not recognized by VirtualBox

I have ubuntu 8.04 and Windows XP installed virtually through virtualbox. I have gone through all the steps to enable USB on virtualbox, and I am able to get a simple flash drive working on my virtual OS by enabling the USB filter under the devices.

However, when I enable my iPod, it correctly is disabled from ubuntu but is no where to be seen in windows. I believe when I first plugged it in it installed it as new hardware, but now nothing happens at all - it is not recognized as an iPod nor a USB drive.

I already use amarok to manage my iPod, but I would like iTunes to be working fully for podcasts/videos, and more importantly for the app store for the new iPhone.

Thanks!
