View Full Version : [ubuntu] Switching from VT8378 S3 UniChrome intergrated to NVIDIA FX 5200 card

I have not installed the FX 5200 yet. I want to know if when I reboot if i can get into my syetem and then how to change the video driver for my X window sub system?

I'm no expert here, but I'd recommend upon rebooting, do so in safe-graphics mode (option from the boot menu) then, once up, I'd reconfigure. Or, boot in "Rescue Mode" and select the option to Fix the x server. Good luck.

ok, i will give it a shot after I back up my important stuff...

Btw, anyone know how to backup your thunderbird mail?
