can wine make my Zune work? I already got rid of my iPod when I had Fista, and then Fista sucked, but zune worked good. So I got Ubuntu7.10 upgraded to 8.04, but have not been able to play with my zune for sometime now. How do i make it work????

Wine runs software, not hardware. If you are trying to use a particular piece of Windows software to access your Zune, it might work (depending on the software), but if you are having issues with your Zune being detected by the OS, then Wine won't help at all. If your Zune is detected OK and it is an MTP device, then Amarok (http://amarok.kde.org/) should allow you to manage your media on the device. Amarok is the default media player in KDE, but it works in Gnome too and is available through the Ubuntu repositories.
