I have been using Ubuntu on my Benq S52 for over a year now since the audio problem was fixed by the alsa guys.
ACPI has never been a problem for me in the last 3 version however since I upgraded to Hardy my battery meter does not update and the time to dis/charge is never sane, ie 12hrs to discharge.
I had hoped this problem woudl be fixed with upgrades as I have been running Hardy since release day.
I can get the status to update 70% of the time if i restart acpi hal and then kill gnome-power-manager and then restart it.
Anyone else seen problems like this?
