I am looking for someone that I can put in my company rolodex to call for remote help if problems arise with our 8.04 Ubuntu Server. Previously the server was running as a VM but due to some stability issues I have transitioned it to a native install. Hopefully the issues will not arise again but on the chance that they do I would love to have an expert on Ubuntu LAMP installations available.
You would be supporting a Ubuntu Hardy Heron LAMP install that is running on an IBM Blade server. You would connect remotely via SSH and identify the cause of the issue whatever it may be. This is a pretty basic LAMP installation with very little customization. We have many web sites hosted in apache including SSLs. The server also has a good size PHP back-end to the web sites and it communicates directly with a database on another blade running MSSQL 2005.
Unfortunately my experience is mostly in Windows and I am at a loss as to the cause of the problems we have recently had if in fact it turns out that they recur and were not a result of the server virtualization.
Please PM me or post if you are interested. Your time will of course be compensated if needed. Thanks in advance.
