mouse freezes on keyboard press

I am not sure if this is an Apple thing, regardless, whenever I touch my keyboard my mouse (pointer) freezes momentarily.

I am at a loss as to how this might be fixed.

1st gen MBP

This is due to the mouseemu daemon. You can uninstall it, or just reconfigure it. There are several posts on this. It should have heppened in Gutsy as well, maybe you fixed it and forgot?

well, for the time being, uninstalling did solve my problem... thank you for the suggestion. Now I now what to look for.

you shouldn't need it anyway, I think it is really only for PPC macs.
