Alright... my Ubuntu / server skills are rusty... I need to setup a box (I've got a Hauppauge PVR-150) and working on building the box, so far the GUI is running fine. I'm just having problems with MySQL (not connecting to the db, this needs to be back and front end).

Also, are there any other ways to get guides other than SD? I mean I don't mind 20 a year, but right now cash is tight until I get my finances ironed out.

For the first problem: Please just install from the Mythbuntu CD. It will set up the DB for you properly and such no hassle. Other methods you can easily run into errors if you make an incorrect entry during a question.

Second question, there is trials for the SD, 7 days I believe. The only other alternative that I know of for guide data is EIT (over the air), which won't work unless you capture with an ATSC card.
