Note, this is a straight cable jack, no digital cable box from cox.
My question is - do i need a cable box to pull encrypted/unencypted channels?
If i run my card in the analog setting it works fine; i pull all the channels i normally would, if i had a regular tv hooked up.
I thought though, that i may be able to un-encrypt the channles and watch them, since this is a digital tuner card? am i wrong.
If not, whats the best way to set up the dvb card? When i scan for channels it not coming up with anything. Do i have to configure the card, there were options for LNB, Rotor, or Switch, but i left this unconnected since I thought it was all for satellite dishes?
