Hi again guys,
Recently I have been experiencing an intermittent issue with my Mythbuntu 8.04 setup and was looking for some pointers.
Sometimes when I am recording something and want to watch Live TV on another channel MythTV will not change channel and will keep going back to whatever channel the recording is taking place on.
I have a Nova T 500 PCI set up up as DVB0 and DVB1 (each with an additional virtual tuner), the options regarding LiveTV and allowing it to switch tuners and/or reschedule recordings to avoid conflicts are both selected.
Last night I was recording a program on Sky 3 (Freeview) and tried to select a different channel but MythTV kept pausing (as if it was switching channel) and then going back to displaying Sky 3.
Tuner status reported that Tuner 4 was recording but that Tuners 1-3 were ready and available. Assuming that Tuners 3 + 4 are actually one real and one virtual tuner I can't understand why I couldn't change to either Tuner 1 or 2 to watch LiveTV.
Any idea's gratefully received!
