My G5 iMac has limited power management, and one thing I always wanted was a way to shut it down based upon user-inactivity, rather than a preset amount like some quickie fixed-time shutdown command in a terminal.

Thanks to rpontes, he provided the basis of a script that I modified to take into account virtual terminals and gnome terminals up and running as well.

I link to it here because many PPC users may have the same problem, and searches for shutdown scripts are usually based on preset limits, and not user-inactivity. His script blew me away. Scratch off another annoyance from the Linux-PPC list!
