I already got it from the main server for United states..
No idea about other repos.. and I realized I just may have said something that make people run to use the US server and will crash down the whole thing :P
*soz*
But yeah I got it maybe 10 hours ago off of the US repos

I noticed a lot of differences in the -dev code before WINE announced a stable 1.0 release. Hopefully it will be a good base to build on.
any clue when its gonna hit the repos?
What I'm wondering, assuming it does go in the repos. Might be included with the new release.

Run wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add - to add the key then add deb http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt hardy main to your repos list in Synaptic. The release version of wine will then be available.

I would like to know if Wine 1 is any better. I used Wine beta before, and it did not work at all (Excel, soapcast, etc).

Version 1 doesn't mean it is stable. It only mean a few software works perfectly (supported). You can see the list on wine's website. It includes Office 2007.

From the official announcement:
The Wine team is proud to announce that Wine 1.0 is now available.
This is the first stable release of Wine after 15 years of development
and beta testing.
1.0 is stable. However, stable, in software relase terms, does not mean everything will work with it. It just means that this release will not be changing on a bi-weekly basis as the previous unstable versions did. There will still be unstable development releases (the git source tree), but there won't be another stable release until 1.0.1 in a few months.
