sound problem clue

Hifolks,
I have tried everything I can think of to get the sound working in HardyHeron, without success. I have one clue I think might mean something to someone. When I start the computer, the Ubuntu theme music plays many times, in a jarring, receding echo until it dies away. After that there is no sound at all. Here is the hardware. If anyone has an idea I would really appreciate knowing it.
