I am working on a device that uses Ubuntu 8.04 server which needs to run as an access point. I currently have an Atheros 5413 chip, which I have working sort of with the MadWifi drivers. I am having problems with stuck beacons (http://madwifi.org/wiki/StuckBeacon) (madwifi.org) though, and none of the fixes on that page seem to resolve my issue. It also gets into a state where only one or two devices in the area can see the SSID listed when doing a scan.

I am trying to find an alternate minipci 802.11b/g (with a if possible) with good driver support in Ubuntu. It needs to support AP mode and be reliable. Has anyone found something like this for their own projects?

Thanks

Anybody?

Can anyone with the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection (WM3B2200BG) card tell me if it works in access point mode?
