View Full Version : [ubuntu] Wierd Video upon Install Attempt on Pismo G3 PB

I tried to install hardy heron onto a G3 Powerbook (PPC), and got as far as seeing some video with what could have been the HH color scheme, but what I saw were jagged horizontal lines which slowly crept upward...never saw with clarity to know if I even got a "desktop" and could not click or double click on anything with intent.

Is there something about the Pismo which prevents an install of 8.04?

thanks!

Check this out:

The last message from rjt1000 seems to indicate a manual change of horizontal and vertical freqs in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Take a look at that Debian user's xorg.conf too in the link if this doesn't work...

One of the few threads I've seen with a successful Pismo. Let us know if it works!
