I am running Hardy 64 bit. Running Compiz fine.
The only problem is when I reboot (power outage) The visual effects settings are always reset at none. So I have to go back to reset the at custom. How do I get my machine to keep the custom settings at startup?

add 'compiz --replace' as a startup session in system->preferences->sessions
